NDP extend viscosity range of their slurries

NDP are now producing slurries with a wide range of viscosities with micron and submicron polycrystalline diamond. Low, medium and high viscosity slurries are available as are NDP's "gels." These gels often have viscosities from 1,200 to 5,000cP and exhibit maximum suspension stability. Although both oil based and water based slurries are available, the extended range of viscosities particularly apply to NDP's water based systems.

Typical application examples of NDP slurries are:
• Lapping of metallic components after milling processes
• Finishing and super-finishing of metallic components
• Lapping of sapphire substrates prior to polishing
• Lapping of sapphire watch glass prior to polishing

NDP launch unique diamond paste

NanoDiamond Products are pleased to announce the launch of their diamond paste.

In addition to suspensions, slurries and concentrates NDP Limited have introduced a nanodiamond and micron paste. The paste is available in formulas to be compatible with either oil based or water based solutions.  
 
The diamond paste is now available in the nanometer sizes from 70nm through 4.0 microns.

The application areas for diamond paste range from polishing ultra precision natural diamond, monocrystalline and polycrystalline diamond cutting tools to additions in nickel plating for wear resistant surfaces.

The products may be purchased in standard containers from 100 carats to 1500 carats or greater upon specific request.

NDP PolyMic gains market acceptance

NDP are now pleased to report excellent performance from their polycrystalline diamond micron (PolyMic) powders and slurries launched in the last quarter of 2009. NDP's CEO, Derek Wright explains that PolyMic is a natural extension of NDP's business since one of their primary business drivers focuses heavily on the final polishing of substrate materials such as sapphire and silicon carbide (SiC). NDP's nanodiamond products (NanoSoluteTM) are used in the final CMP stage to produce EPI ready surfaces - prior to this CMP stage lapping and polishing of the substrate is carried out often using polycrystalline micron products, where monocrystalline micron diamond products just don't meet the performance criteria. Both product lines are therefore very synergistic with common end users.
