NDP Nanodiamond Concentrates
|
A concentrate is a liquid or substance in which the concentration of particles is increased and its volume reduced by removing free liquid from it.
Due to the reduced liquid content concentrates have a higher viscosity than suspensions and slurries.
The generic NanoSoluteTM product is a GLYCOL based nanodiamond concentrate. NDP also offer a range of different liquids in which the nanodiamond is concentrated. These liquids are tailor made to suit the end use application.
NDP concentrates are used as an additive in a wide range of applications. The amount of nanodiamond added is between 1.5% and 3.5% by weight of the total solids in the final application.
Concentration
Concentration refers to the amount of nanodiamond in the liquid. Depending on the carrier vehicle concentrates can be supplied from 100 carats of diamond (20 gram) per litre of liquid to 1000 cts/L (200 grams per litre).

NanoSoluteTM concentrates are being used as additives to existing polishing slurries such as colloidal silica for the polishing of hard substrates, for example sapphire, SiC and spinel.
NanoEndureTM concentrates in very specific chemistries have been used in applications such as the production of new generation polymer based products.
Advantages of NDP Concentrates:
