NDP Paste

What is a Paste?

The conventional definition of a paste is a highly viscous, plastic substance made by mixing a liquid with a powder, the powder being in very high concentrations.

In NDP pastes the “powder” is nanodiamond or polycrystalline micron diamond particles. The NDP proprietary liquid is compatible with either oil or water based systems.

NDP pastes are available in both nano and micron diamond sizes. Pastes can be tailor made to suite a variety of applications. Two NDP generic pastes are offered for either water based (WB) applications or oil based (OB) applications.

Concentration
Concentration refers to the amount of diamond in the paste. Unlike other NDP products the concentration of diamond in NDP pastes is not stated as a meaningful value. This is due to the significant difference in surface area of nanodiamond and micron diamond and also the different compositions of paste available. Therefore pastes are ordered by diamond weight or carats without stipulating the concentration.

Nanodiamond size
Diamond paste is available in nanometer sizes of mean 70nm and 80nm and in micron sizes from mean 0.1 through to 4.
