Products - ND and PolyMic

NDP produce polycrystalline synthetic nanodiamond  (ND) products. In addition NDP offer another unique diamond material from a completely separate synthesis and production process and it is designated as polycrystalline synthetic micron (PolyMic). All products are sold in suspension, slurry or as a concentrate depending on the application and customer requirements. Additionally NDP are now producing nanodiamond and micron paste. From the menu please select the area of interest from suspensions, slurries, concentrates or pastes.

Polycrystalline and Monocrystalline Nanodiamond

Origin of polycrystalline and monocrystalline nanodiamond (ND)
Ultra dispersed diamond (UDD) polycrystalline ND - ND synthesized from a explosive charge under controlled conditions
Monocrystalline ND - ND from high energy milling of micron/submicron HP-HT synthesized diamond

Main differences:
Polycrystalline ND – primary particle of polycrystalline structure, hybrid carbons at the core to various carbon structures at the outer surface
Monocrystalline ND - single crystal, higher density, less reactive carbon components at surface, intrinsically harder than UDD

PolyMic - Polycrystalline Micron

PolyMic is a polycrystalline synthetic micron product from NDP
PolyMic is synthesised and processed very differently to our ND products
It can be sold as a dry powder, suspension or slurry
Sizes are available from M0-0.2 to M2-4
PolyMic has a surface area similar to monocrystalline diamond with the same particle size distribution
The polycrystalline structure means an absence of large cleavage planes giving it a unique self sharpening behaviour when polishing hard and brittle substrates
